Might the orbit of the moon be our only physical reference to our conception of time? Aren’t we living through circles, like an orbiting moon?
Day by day the years are passing through a circular movement at a scale that goes beyond our understanding. A constant movement that sets the rhythm of your life, of my life. As long as we are on earth, why question this rhythm? 

“Humankind choose to go to the moon” 
Why?…
Because it is there. 

As a flying fish, jumping for a few seconds out of the water, humankind walked on the moon. To humankind, a total new perspective was revealed. A place where the earthly days and years did not mean a thing anymore. HOFIE will explore this confusion in an atmosphere where the orbit of a lamp is the only perception of time she has, creating endless days and nights. 

This is the third work in line of Project HOFIE. Based on  a movement language strongly connected to this imaginative character, inspired by the moon and her circular movement.

• The work has a duration of 3 hours 2 minutes and 31 seconds, as long as the audio of the original NASA EVA mission video: Apollo 11 Moonwalk. The performance will be an improvised installation work where you can step in and out of HOFIE’s surreality. It is the experience that is at centre, reminding both you and her to feel alive.
