Where Light Lingers?
WHERE LIGHT LINGERS
Performers: Anneleen Nickmans & Linde Hanna Rongen
Where Light Lingers’ is an interactive dance performance aimed at young audiences aged 4 to 10 and their families. Inspired by the sun’s daily travel across the sky, the duet between Linde and Anneleen explores playful cycles of movement, rhythm and imagery. Transitioning from the soft glow of sunrise to the fiery energy of sunset.
Set in a gently darkened space, with the audience seated in a circle, the performance celebrates warmth, light and connection. Through dynamic partnering and moments of trust the dancers initiate an adventure, to learn, grow and discover together.
‘Where Light Lingers’ reminds us that, no matter who and where we are, we all live under the same sun.

Unsure Materials for a Variety of Numbers

Time: 14:00 - 15:00
Date: Sunday, 2nd of November 2025
Previously performed at: Ásmundarsafn
Description:
‘Unsure materials for a variety of numbers’ is a performance in the beginning state of research, a spontaneous meeting between Yelena Arakelow & Linde Hanna Rongen as part of Project HOFIE. For the past week they have been working at the new space Dans.haus with dance improvisation. For this performance they will explore one specific task of alternating counting and moving.
They have been asking questions, what are we counting towards? What associations are created in the moment? What rules and games are being established? What is more comfortable, to count, or to move? What game are we playing? Whom are we listening to? When is it time to make a decision? Whose rules are we following? What are we waiting for?

How can we break this circle?
How can we break this circle?" is a creative space hosted by artists Júlía Kolbrún Sigurðardóttir and Linde Hanna Rongen in the spring of 2023. This duet is a response to their previous work, 'How Can We Make This Circle Straight?' which premiered in 2021 during the experimental Reykjavik Dance Festival x Toma rymid.
The work aims to create a welcoming space where audiences can unwind, reflect, and become creatively present within the experience of a dance performance.
During the event two dancers will perform a dance duet on a circular carpet of 0.8 square meters, meanwhile the audience is invited to draw, paint and sculpt what they observe. The movements of the dance duet are inspired by the drawings that have been collected from previous events.

How can we make this circle straight?
Am I insane? Am I mad? All the best people are. In this work, it is the movement that matters, not the context in which the body is placed. Guided by the unanswerable question: How can we make this circle straight? The dancers embody the joyous spirit of the "Futterwacken", reflecting a world where questions remain delightfully unanswered. To celebrate the madness of a dance that finds joy rather than a solution.
